hmmm. just had another one.

seriously lads. anyone wishing to start formulating an escape plan from the most powerful nation on earth for Jan '12, just in case the unthinkable should (God forbid) happen, gimme a call.

  1. The dominant rumours seem to be that she's likely to be indicted for corruption during her stint as Mayor and that quitting is the first step in damage control.

Hard to know for sure, but based on the timing and the speech (was she drunk while delivering it? it's certainly incoherent enough) it seems unlikely that it's a presidential bid.

  2. thanks for that, James. that explanation certainly makes elements of the speech more... i don't want to use the term coherent... i guess it seems like the best fit explanation for it.
there's certainly no shortage of confusion to go around. at one point i thought she was going to say she and todd were planning to start drilling for oil in their back garden, the next i was thinking they were going to announce a new campaign for Alaska to secede.

still, at least we now know what she defines as 'REAL climate change'. on that i feel much clearer.

was she drunk? i dunno, but i've got to think being that obtuse has to take some level of skill.

  3. It's too early for her to have jumped ship for a Pres. bid. My gut tells me her past is about to bite her in the arse. And if that isn't the case, she will stumble over her silly mouth-fulls of stupid spontaneity, thereby fueling the air for future talk show hosts' zinger one liners.

My God, the woman is dense. Driven too. Not a great combination.

ps. it was sooooooo relieving to know she plans to take care of all the children in the world outside of the Governor's office. ;)
