and via the daily dish. sullivan got choked up over Miss Boyle, (who, physically, reminds me so much of the Scottish women i was surrounded by in my youth), and i'm unashamed to say, so did i.
here's to the unseen and unexpected. which is a theme i'm increasingly interested in, especially in a gender and queer context - seeing the assumed normative deconstructed as it is subverted by those kept to the edges because they don't quite fit our expectations.

i love that blog. i was aware of him but it wasn't til Stephen Colbert interviewed him during the '08 US election campaigns and he explained why as a conservative he was voting for Obama that he fully entered my radar. he's must reading for me now.
and yay for Susan. i too have shed tears several times since. it was a gospel moment.
and yes, i too look forward to hangage time at greenbelt. that was a serious highlight last year, walking towards the beer tent to meet you and Nadia and thinking, "how the heck am i gonna find them in this crowd?" and i stepped into the tent to see the two of you *owning* the place with your moves. that was the best dance i had all year. :)
you rock. don't ever stop.
