cheryl,
well, it's after 2 in the morning.
jayne and i have just done a marathon 12 final eps of s6 satc in one sitting.
i cried. and i cried. and i cried.
the two lines that undid me...
smith: "just because the trees are bare, it doesn't mean they're dead..."
magda: "what you did - that is love. you love."
and as we said our goodnights, we admitted beneath our cynical exteriors lie romantics. somewhere there just might be a harry, or a smith, or a steve, or even a fucked up took 6 years to realise she was "the one" all along Big, who will make us feel nothing short of fabulous.
but i'm bloody glad we got each other to share a night of friendship by the fire, while outside the rain was beating on the windows. 'cause it's a lot more than a lot of folks have got.

Hello LB,
ReplyDeleteI have just dicovered that half of IKON is now blogging and had fun figuring out whose blog belonged to who? Was it a group decision to start blogging or some great inspiration that hit everybody at the same time? someone called warp woof etc still has me bamboozled!!
I am glad you have close friends - I am guessing you have many in IKon circles. It is so easy to feel isolated and alone in modern society!!!
Best wishes,
Rodney Neill
(ps - i am a very keen blogoshere person who enjoys reading blogs)
my wordy, that last episode has to be one of my favourite things ever on tv. they nail it, don't they - life, hope, fragility, love... it brings me undone every time. can't wait to watch it again.
ReplyDeletenone of them would have survived without their friends. i wouldn't either...

ReplyDelete[we accessorised our viewing with Hendricks gin... a little something i was introduced to in belfast...]
hope the tour is showing you new places in the world and in your soul.
